Know Your Fabrics
Unless the tag specifically says to dry clean, you can wash your sweaters yourself! Before you wash, make sure you understand your sweater’s fabric so that you can prevent stretching, shrinking and pilling.
Start by looking at the label to determine whether it’s natural, man-made or some combination of both. Natural fibers tend to shrink or stretch more easily than man-made fibers, so you want to be sure you’re taking extra care with those.
