Stitch Fix is an online personal styling service that ships customers a hand picked selection of clothing and accessories based on their individual style, size, lifestyle and budget.


How Stitch Fix Works

1. Fill out Stitch Fix’s Style Profile with your personal style preferences and sizes. It only takes about 10 minutes-and it’s fun!
2. We send you a package of five items to try on in the comfort of your own home. Each item comes with a custom style card that provides outfit ideas and inspiration.
3. You only pay for what you want to keep and send back what you don’t.  Your $20 styling fee is applied as credit to anything you buy.

It’s your personal style, shipped to you, without the usual hassles of shopping.

  1. Is there a way for Canadians to order? I have a US address to ship to and from, but I’d need to use a Canadian credit card. Please let me know, I’d love to try Stitchfix!

    • Hi Laura! We should be able to accept an international card as long as there is no PIN or code required. You may be charged a foreign transaction fee, but please email us at hello@stitchfix.com if you have specific questions. Thank you!

  3. Do you pay $20 for every 5 items shipped to you? What if you pay the $20 and none of the 5 items work?

    • Hi Trisha! Yes, there is a $20 Styling Fee for every shipment, which is then credited back to anything you decide to keep! We are quite confident that our Stylists will be able to pick some great pieces for you so hopefully you’ll find at least one thing in each Fix!     • So what if you don’t want to keep anything in your shipment, do you lose the $20 or can it be applied to an item you like from your next shipment?

  4. Do you have options for males? When my spouse tried to sign up, it said you didn’t have his size (he’s a typical size).

    • Hi Felicia! The average price of our individual pieces is $65, but you are able to set your own budget in your style profile. When you buy all 5 items in a Fix, you receive a 25% discount on the whole shipment. For more info on our pricing feel free to visit our FAQ!

  6. II understand it’s $20 per shipment and that is applied to what I keep. What if I do not keep anything. Is the $20 nonrefundable or would it apply to the next shipment?

  7. I have very sensitive skin and sometimes synthetic fabrics make me breakout or sweat. Do you have natural fabric options for the fixes you send?
    Also, is this(can this be) a one time thing or do you have to set up an ongoing shipment at the start?

  8. I can’t even begin to tell you how happy we are with our fixes. I say our, because my daughter and I both get monthly fixes. Even if we don’t keep the entire fix we always find at least one item that is wonderful so I never feel like I have lost the $20 styling fee. The clothes are comfortable and I find that I wear them on a regular basis. I also noticed my 17 year old wears her quite often too. It is so much fun.

  9. i have just joined and very eager to get my first fix… My sister introduced me to this and tried to put her in as my referrel so maybe she could receive her 25% discount on next purchase but would not take me to the site.. What can I do?

  10. When scheduling a fix delivery, is the date we pick the day it will be delivered or is that the day it will be shipped out? i want to be sure I will be in town to get my box.

  11. I am considering stitch fix, but I am concerned about my privacy. What do you do to protect it – for example, do you share my information and preferences with third parties? Thanks!

    • We do not share any of your information with third parties. All of the data we collect simply aids your Stylist in choosing the best pieces for you. XOXO

  12. I just placed an order and I am a petite size. So when sending me any pants can you please consider the length? Thank you

  13. What if i don’t like any of the 5 items and return them. Will i be credited the $20? or is it non-refundable? How long do i have to return an item once i recieved it? if i want to cancel will i get a penalty?

    • Hi Cristina,
      You will not be penalized for canceling your Fix, so you are welcome to cancel at any time as long as it hasn’t been shipped. If you decide to return all 5 items from your Fix you will not be refunded your $20 fee, but if you decide to keep something the $20 fee will go toward your purchase. You will have three days from the day you receive your Fix, to try on and decide what you would like to keep. If for some reason you need to keep it a day or two longer, no worries, just let customer service know. Hope this helps! :)

What if you are a stylish but conservative dresser (don’t like to show skin but still want to look well put together), and because of life changes you no longer have time to shop on your own! And because of changes to body (weight gain) your old fabulous clothes no longer fit well. Can the stitch fix accommodate styling for the “covered chic”?

  16. I am so excited and expecting my first ship this week! I was just wondering if I need to be home to sign for it or will it be left at the door? I live in an apartment building and if it is signed for in the office I won’t be able to get it until the next day.

  17. I am curious as to what I do after I get the clothes. If I do like the clothes; do I just keep them or what do I have to do?

    • If you like them, then yes you simply keep them and are charged only for those pieces. Return what you dont want in the enclosed bag and send back to us! XOXO

  18. Can you explain why you do not style for plus sizes? I have read MANY blogs and comments and there is a demand and desire out there for women of plus sizes to use a service like this.
