Although I do like these types of skirts…I am WAY to short to wear them. I’ve not seen them in petites.

    1. Stitch Fix 2 years ago

Jeanna! We have a ton of petite skirt styles just for you! Just tell your Stylist. Even maxis!

I also love the striped maxi and would not mind recieving it in my next fix…… love the fact you can style it so many ways

Really like the blouse in 1. Have a maxi similar to this one This gave good ideas.

I like the maxi skirt but I would need to try it on because I am 5’1″! I like options 2, 4 (without skirt), 5, and 6. Can’t wait to get my first fix!

The nice thing about maxis is that you can always cheat the waistband! Fold it over or pull it up to be more “high-waisted!” Let me know if you try this and if it still doesn’t work we have petite clothing too! Make sure you opt in to that!

Love the maxi weekend getaway. Would love to add a pop of red…maybe a chunky floral necklace or a red top or red flat sandle

I have a striped maxi dress in my closet, and now I have several new ideas about how to wear it!! I don’t even have to buy anything new to get a fresh new look for work AND casual!!

I love outfit #1 with the sleeveless blouse! I would love this in my stitch fix!

I thought Maxi skirts make you look even shorter if you are under 5’3 or 5’4. I’m 5’2 and on the heavy side. Like to hide my old legs but don’t want to look like a chubby snail either.

Love this striped maxi skirt and style choices especially with the jean jacket and as a bathing suit cover-up!

  22. Tamara 2 years ago

    I like looks, 1 and 4! I can’t wear a maxi skirt as a dress…in my head I still know it’s a skirt!!

  23. Jillian 2 years ago

So happy to see #4! I styled a horizontally striped maxi skirt with a sleeveless floral top last week and personally thought the combo looked great, but was slightly worried that it was pattern overload. I’m glad to have validation from Stitch Fix!

I just got a maxi skirt in my first box. I was stunned, since I’m 5’2″ and curvy. I didn’t think that a maxi skirt or horizontal stripes were, well, allowed by nature. Just not sure if I can pull this off. :/

When you post these articles and show some item descriptions in black font (versus gray font for shoes). Does this mean you have the item in inventory and available for a fix request?

Hmmm… These outfits all look great, but I am uncertain about wearing the skirt as a dress. I wonder how hard it would be to add straps? Since I am top heavy, something to cover my bra straps would be nice, then tucked away when it is worn as a skirt. ‘Just a thought! 😉 -Marci @ Stone Cottage Adventures

These are great ideas. Since I just got a maxi skirt in my April fix, I am going to try it out like a dress to see if it will work. Otherwise, I fall into that too shorty category that goes all frumpy in super long skirts.

I don’t believe the majority of woman can possibly wear a maxi skirt as a tube-top-type dress.

  31. Talitha 2 years ago

    I love outfit #1.

  32. Carla 2 years ago

Brittany, you are so talented. These are great ideas! Would the stripes work for ladies with pear shapes when worn as a skirt? I think they’d be okay pulled up as a dress, but am not sure if they would make hips look fuller as a skirt.

I received a peach and white stripe maxi skirt in my last fix and I sent it back only because I already had one so similar to this in my closet. It’s been my favorite skirt last summer, but NOW I know how to wear it more than one way!! Thanks!!!

  34. Carmen 2 years ago

This weekend I’m totally wearing all 6 ways!!! This maxi skirt has been in my closet – not worn – for over a year!! Thanks for the directions of use!!

  35. Brittanie 2 years ago

Outfit number one and three are perfect for me! I would love that in my next Fix!

  36. ellie 2 years ago

    sooo cute!

  37. Jackie 2 years ago

I love outfit # 1 I would love to get it as my stitchfix! What great ideas!

  38. Christine 2 years ago

The stripes are too much unless you are tall

  39. Marcie 2 years ago

I cannot wear the maxi dress or skirt unless it comes in petites. I would be too long and would just make me look dumpy.
